Based in Santiago, Chile. Santiago Cifuentes is a professional audiovisual communicator from Universidad de los Andes, specializing in adventure, outdoor sports, and lifestyle storytelling. Working internationally across documentaries and digital content, his work is centered around capturing authentic moments in remote and demanding environments, from the peaks of the Andes to the coastlines of the Pacific, always seeking to reflect the raw beauty and diversity of his country through intentional visual storytelling.
After years dedicated to high-performance tennis, the mountains became the place where both of his passions could come together: sport and art. What began as an early passion for photography evolved into a professional career at the age of 13, developing a visual language shaped by atmosphere, movement, and attentive craftsmanship.
In recent years, his focus has expanded into outdoor sports cinematography and documentary filmmaking, collaborating with international brands and world-class athletes across remote expeditions and high-altitude projects. Through this work, he has had the opportunity to film some of the world’s top athletes across multiple disciplines, documenting performances and stories in some of the most extreme environments on earth. His experience also includes participation in Guinness World Record expeditions and summits featured throughout this portfolio.
Through social media, he has built a strong audience around both his artistic work and the creative process behind it, sharing not only finished pieces, but also the intention, preparation, and storytelling that shape each project.
